Marylou "LUCIA" Lacoco was born in Chicago, Illinois and attended art classes at The Art Institute of Chicago. She is a graduate of Roosevelt University, Chicago, Illinois.

Artist Statement

I have always enjoyed landscape art.  I began doing memorial paintings as a personal solution to ease the grieving process after the death of my lifemate in 2000.  I found so much comfort and peace through these paintings, I wanted to share this comfort and peace with others who are grieving for lost loved ones and are in need of solace. The art is a way to honor and immortalize one's loved ones.
